The Pride of The Ozarks Goat Breeders Club has moved their Spring Dairy goat Show to West Plains, MO.
It will be held at the Heart of the Ozarks Fairgrounds on Highway 63. There may or may not be straw or hay provided for sale on the grounds. Contact us one week before the show for that information, we will try to have some.
Milkout for the official milking competition will be between 6 and 7 PM Friday evening. Does entered in the milking competition must be stalled in the barn. All other goats may be stalled in the barn or your trailer, your preference.
There will be a Pot -Luck dinner Saturday, after the SR Doe show and before the JR Doe show. The Club will provide the meat. Please join us.
Saturday will be a full day beginning with free donuts and coffee at 6 AM. Showmanship will begin at 7:30 AM. SR Doe show will begin at the conclusion of showmanship classes. After which we will allow time to get those girls milked and have our pot-luck lunch. We will have our raffle at this time. Next will be the JR Doe show We will then have the Buck show. Please join us and have some fun! Saturday Evening we are going to have "just for fun goat games", including your favorite caprine friends, of course! Join in on the goat obstacle course or see how fast you can milk your goat, or get yourself and your goat into a costume for the costume party! We will also have some group classes that you may not have witnessed at ADGA shows before. ( neither have the ADGA judges---that is why the judge may not be listed in the ADGA directory!) Okay--some of the prizes may be a little of the wall too, but I bet that you have never had a more fun group class! For more information on these games, please contact Esther at 417-469-5014.
Sunday we will begin at 8 AM. We will have a SR Doe show followed by a short time to get those girls milked. Winners will be announced for the silent auction bucks. Please take a look at these handsome Lads. Please contact the individual breeders for more information on these animals. These are all excellent animals. and then our JR Doe show, and conclude with our buck show. We should be done in time for everyone to get an early start home.
